Morpheus8 is a non-invasive radiofrequency (RF) microneedling treatment that stimulates collagen production and tissue remodeling in the deeper layers of the skin. Radiofrequency (RF) energy is a scientifically proven method to remodel and rebuild collagen. It is minimally invasive, using a matrix of micro pins to renew the deeper layers of the skin with almost no patient downtime. By targeting these deeper layers, the energy stimulates the skin’s building blocks to reorganise themselves and produce natural anti-ageing results.

Before your RF microneedling treatment, an experienced clinician will prepare your skin and may apply a topical anaesthetic. The Morpheus8 handpiece will be passed over the skin, administering radiofrequency energy via micro-sized needles. Using the multi-depth settings, the specialist will target both the upper and deeper layers of the dermis. This will tighten and rejuvenate multiple layers of skin to create visible and lasting results.
The RF energy creates thermal effects beneath the skin, which triggers your body’s natural healing responses. This, in turn, activates collagen regeneration and tissue remodelling. The Morpheus8 reaches a depth of seven millimetres, penetrating deeper into the skin than other devices and delivering RF energy more thoroughly through the dermis. This allows it to achieve tissue remodelling at a deeper level and gives patients enhanced skin rejuvenation results.
Most patients find the procedure very tolerable and do not normally experience any discomfort. Depending on the size of the treatment area, you can expect the process to take between 30 and 60 minutes.

After your treatment, it is necessary to take care of your treated skin to encourage quick healing and a good final result. Despite some redness and sensitivity, most patients can return to their usual daily routines after a couple of days. Your specialist will give you instructions based on your health and the details of your treatment to help you care for your skin. For example, patients should avoid direct sun exposure following treatment.
Other post-treatment instructions can include:
- Avoid wearing makeup for two days after the procedure
- Use a broad-spectrum sunscreen every day
- Refrain from exercise or activities that cause sweating for three to four days
- Keep the treated skin clean and moisturised
- Avoid touching or rubbing the treated area
You can expect to see improvement in your skin’s quality after a couple of days. However, results are progressive due to the gradual regeneration of collagen. This means your skin may continue to improve for up to 12 months after treatment.

Morpheus8 is ideal for people looking to treat fine lines and wrinkles, acne scars and skin irregularities, skin laxity, skin dyschromia, stretch marks, and cellulite. The benefit of Morpheus8 colour blind technology is that it can be used on all skin types. Its unique properties allow even darker tones to be treated.
Downtime is minimal and ranges from one to five days, depending on the energy levels administered during treatment. Makeup can be applied one to two days after the treatment. You should expect to see micro lesions a few days after treatment and slight redness depending on the treatment parameters.
Visible results can be seen within a few days but are best noticeable after six weeks, with improvements continuing up to 12 months after treatment.
Your practitioner will recommend the optimal number of sessions to be performed based on your personal objectives. The number of sessions can range from one to four, with intervals of three to six weeks, according to treatment settings used.

Most patients describe the Morpheus8 as a tolerable treatment. A topical anaesthetic may be administered to ensure patient comfort.
Your clinician will advise you to cease any potential contraindicated medications prior to the procedure. You should arrive with clean skin, i.e. no lotions, creams, or make-up.
You may experience some common temporary side effects after treatment, however, these should subside within a few days. Pinprick marks from the needles will fade on their own within two weeks. Although severe and lasting side effects are rare, every procedure comes along with some risks. Risks associated with RF microneedling procedures include:

- Peeling and flaking
- Tenderness
- Itchiness and irritation
- Bleeding or bruising
- Changes in skin colour
